Rhodes GR
Here we are, well into November, and I still have a boatload of October pictures to go.
Unlike most of Europe, Rhodes is far enough south that bougainvilleas thrive.
When I first came here, hibiscus also had the run of the place. Some are still here.
Let's hear it for a Mediterranean climate!
Our local square, with its three biggus ficus trees.
A full moon rises between two masts in Mandraki harbor.
For something so obvious
in person, that moon sure keeps a low profile in the photo! Mysterious are the ways.
A touch of sign spotting
The square root of minus time.
I imagine general relativity might have something to say about that. Maybe also
quantum mechanics. (Didn't Feynman have a theory that positrons are electrons moving
backward in time?) I don't understand any of that well enough to comment.

All 1 Euro in three languages and alphabets.
Three alphabets? BCE is Cyrillic for VSE. In Slovene that means ALL. I'll
betcha it means the same in Russian.
Alphabets? Here is the real one in these parts. TRADITIONAL GREENGROCERY
ie a fruit and vegetable store. I have shopped here, but not recently. Sadly this
little business has been closed since before the covid pandemic. Ten and more years
of austerity have done damage to family businesses here.
Making a living as a local musician gets harder every year, both for the musicians
and the dwindling number of host venues (cafes and bars).
One well-deserved exception is this
guitar-playing young friend and his sax partner (so to speak), and the Nook
bar. Double Pill the guys call themselves. I say check 'em out.

And the Fountains of Rhodes
And once again, we bid you good night!
